Experimental Printmaking

Taking our inspiration from a number of design sources, including Mid Century Design and the work of contemporary printmakers, we will explore pattern through mark making, drawing and collage, with a mixed media approach. We will create experimental printing blocks and stamps, before developing a series of lino cuts.

Saturday 7th March, 10 – 4pm, £65, including: materials, use of equipment and refreshments; just bring lunch.

Create with a Gel Plate – back by popular demand with two dates to choose from.

 

Gel printing plates are a lively and instant method for monoprinting and without the need for a printing press. I will guide you through a range of gel plate techniques, including: layering, impressing, creating stencils and exploring masking techniques. You will leave with a range of unique prints. The workshop will suit both the creative beginner and folks looking to explore a new creative process.

Due to the COVID19 situation Art in The Barn has been postponed until  Thursday 8th – Monday 12th October; further details can be found at www.bloomingdesigns.com

I shall be heading down to the beautiful Meon Valley in Hampshire, to run a series of creative workshops. The workshops are part of Spring Arts Week held in a beautiful thatched barn, with views over the surrounding countryside and The South Downs Way. Accommodation is available on the farm, with Shepherds Huts and Yurts to choose from.
