Explore 2 Colour Lino Cutting & Printing

 

Once you have completed a number of single colour lino prints and feel comfortable with the process, how about increasing the degree of difficulty and learn how to create 2 colour prints? Working from an image of your choice, we will explore the reduction technique of lino cutting and printing.

Turners Art, Integrity House, Lumsdale Road, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 5EX, Tuesday 10th November, 10 – 4pm, 5 places to allow for social distancing, £55, including: tuition, the use of most pieces of equipment and materials, plus tea and coffee.

Please bring along: your own lino cutting tools if you have them, a tub of black and white water based printing ink – Ocaldo, 300ml or Daler Rowney, 250ml, an old soup/dessert spoon, a pencil case with pencils, rubber, sharpener, a biro, 2 sheets of A4 tracing paper, an old table knife/small palette knife, masking tape, baby wipes and your lunch.

Explore Mono Printing

 

Explored by numerous artists and dating back to the 1600s, mono prints are unique one-off pieces of art. This flexible and experimental process combines printmaking, drawing and a painterly approach, with a lovely spontaneity and few, if any rules. We will explore a number of techniques, allowing you to choose your favourite way of working.

Turners Art, Integrity House, Lumsdale Road, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 5EX, Tuesday 24th November, 10 – 4pm, 5 places to allow for social distancing, £55, including: tuition, the use of most pieces of equipment and materials, plus tea and coffee.

Please bring along: 3 – 4 brushes: flats/filberts/rounds, 2s, 4s,6s, 2 old white dinner plates or 2 flat white palette, masking tape, 2 sheets of A4 tracing paper, a tub of white and black/Prussian Blue water based printing ink – Ocaldo, 300ml or Daler Rowney, 250ml, an old dinner knife or small palette knife, baby wipes, a pencil case with pencils, rubber, sharpener, blue, black, red, green biros or a few coloured crayons and your lunch.
