Colourful Still Life: exploring mixed media
A mixed bunch of flowers in a favourite vase or jug is a simple pleasure and one that cheers; add a favourite ornament or two and you have a beautiful still life.
Numerous artists, such as Emma Dunbar, Debbie George, Emily Maudey and Jo Aylward, create images exploring the pattern, shape and colour of floral images. However, the Bloomsbury artists, including Vanessa Bell, Roger Fry and Duncan Grant, are the ultimate influencers of this relaxed, domestic imagery.
If you’re fortunate to have visited Charleston in East Sussex, the country house of Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, you’ll be aware of how colour, shape and pattern can be explored in a domestic setting and these images will be a significant influence on your workshop.
This workshop is suitable for those with a range of creative experiences, looking to explore their collage, drawing and painting skills.

Sunday 16th February, 10 – 4pm, with just 4 places, £95 per person, including: tuition, materials and use of equipment; just bring your lunch.
