June Workshops 2019

A Day of Drawing with Line & Wire

Join me at The Slipper Studio for a day of drawing. Starting with the principle that everyone can draw, we will focus on learning to look, plan your ideas and create a series of drawings. Working on different types of paper and using a range of materials, we will draw natural forms with a particular focus on their linear and pattern qualities. We will also develop ‘drawings’ using fine flexible wire.

This creative workshop is suitable for folks who count themselves as a beginner or those who haven’t drawn for a while and may feel the need to brush up on the basics.

Sunday 9th June, 10 – 4pm, £65 including: materials and refreshments; just bring your lunch.

For further details and bookings, please email me: enquiries@lizwellby.co.uk.

Create with a Gel Printing Plate

Gel printing plates are a lively and instant method for creating monoprints, with the advantage that a printing press isn’t required. Each print is unique and this highly adaptable process invites experimentation.

I will guide you through a range of gel plate techniques, including: layering, impressing, creating stencils and exploring masking techniques. You will leave with a range of prints that can be seen as outcomes in their own right or can be starting points for further processes, such as paintings or a lino cut.

The workshop will suit the creative beginner or those with some experience of different creative processes and techniques.

Saturday 15th June, 10 – 4pm, £65 including: most materials and refreshments; just bring your lunch.

For further details and bookings, please email me: enquiries@lizwellby.co.uk.
