Join us for a relaxing afternoon of making at the historic New Bath Hotel. Supported by award winning artist, tutor and maker, Liz Wellby, you’ll be exploring colour and collage, before enjoying a delicious cream tea in The Fountain Restaurant.

Enjoy an afternoon of Floral Doodling – exploring colour and collage.
Guided by our experienced tutor, Liz Wellby, you’ll explore a number of exciting processes, inspired and surrounded by beautiful summer flowers. There will be a little drawing, but it will be gentle and fun, plus collage and painting. You’ll have several pieces to take home, which will surely take pride of place in your home and be admired by many.

This workshop will suit both absolute beginners and folks with experience of different creative processes.

About the tutor: Liz Wellby is a versatile and experienced artist, with a particular interest in sculpture and printmaking. Following the completion of a Fine Arts degree at Loughborough University and subsequent post graduate studies, she returned to Derbyshire, where for over 30 years, she has lived and worked. Liz runs very well received creative workshops from her home studio – The Slipper Studio, on the edge of the Peak District and across the East Midlands, for museums, galleries, schools and Arts societies.

At the end of your creative workshop you’ll be able to sink into a comfortable chair or sofa and enjoy a delicious cream tea, with a choice of tea or coffee.Sunday 9th August 2026, 1.30 – 5pm, with just 12 places available, £58 per person, including: tuition, all materials, a mount for your finished piece and a delicious cream tea.
