Explore 2 Colour Lino Cutting and Printing

 

Once you have completed a number of single colour lino prints and you feel comfortable and confident with the process, how about challenging yourself and learn how to create 2 colour lino prints? Working from an image of your choice, we will explore the reduction technique, learning how to design for a 2 colour lino print and create a varied edition of your design.

Turner’s Art Studio, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 5EX, Monday 4th July, 10 – 4pm, with just 5 places to allow for social distancing, £55, including: tuition, the use of equipment and some materials, plus tea and coffee available throughout the day.

Please bring along: your own cutting tools if you have them, a tub of black and white water based block printing inks – Ocaldo, 300ml or Daler Rowney, 250ml, an old soup/dessert spoon, an old dinner knife/a small palette knife, a pencil case with pencils, rubber, sharpener and a biro, a ruler, 2 sheets of A4 tracing paper, masking tape, an old magazine to transport wet work, baby wipes, 2 masks/face coverings, a lidded drinks cup and your lunch.
