Workshops at The Slipper Studio, October and November 2021 – additional dates

Experimental Printmaking inspired by Mid Century Design

Taking our inspiration from Mid Century Design and contemporary printmakers, we will explore abstract pattern through mark making, drawing and collage. Composition will be developed by creating experimental print blocks and stamps, before we refine our ideas and experiences to develop a series of lino cuts.

Wednesday 27th October, 10 – 4pm, with just 3 places (to allow for social distancing), £69, including: tuition, all materials, use of equipment, plus refreshments throughout the day; just bring your lunch.

Block Printing on Fabric

If you have ever considered designing and creating something to use in your home or thought about personalised gifts, Block Printing on Fabric is the workshop for you.
Bring along your ideas and learn how to translate them into a design and create your own stamps. We will initially work on paper and card, to create gift wrapping and gift tags, before printing on tea towels and tote bags. Bring along samples of cotton and linen, to experiment printing onto.

Sunday 21st November, 10 – 4pm, with just 3 places (to allow for social distancing), £75, including: tuition, materials, use of equipment, plus refreshments throughout the day; just bring your lunch.

Just 1 place available.

Create Beautiful Paper Sculpture

If you are in need of a creative pick up, come along to The Slipper Studio and learn how to create beautiful paper sculpture.

Using a deceptively simple process, you will learn how to make your own templates and create a cornucopia of hanging and free standing paper sculptures, including hearts and fruits from vintage papers and old books, before moving onto tea cups, jugs or tea pots, which are the stars of the show. Once you have learnt the appropriate techniques at the workshop, and with just a few basic pieces of equipment, you will be able to design and create your own sculptural forms at home.

Wednesday 24th November, 10 -4pm, with just 3 places (to allow for social distancing), £69, including: tuition, materials, use of equipment, plus refreshments throughout the day; just bring your lunch.
