Workshops at The Slipper Studio, June 2021

A day of Drawing with Line and Wire

“I sometimes think that there is nothing so delightful as drawing”, Van Gogh.

If you are on the same page as Van Gogh and count yourself as a novice or a more experienced artist, it’s worthwhile practice to spend time exploring your drawing skills.

Starting with the principle that everyone can draw, we will focus on learning to look, plan your ideas and create a series of drawings. Working on different types of paper, we will draw a range of natural forms, with a particular focus on line and pattern. There will also be the opportunity to “draw” with fine wire.

Friday 11th June, 10 – 4pm, just 3 places (to allow for social distancing), £69, including: all materials, use of equipment, just bring your lunch.

Experimental Printmaking with Collographs

Collographs are an interesting type of print, which encourage exploration and experimentation. Exploring the theme of Rhythm and Pattern, or a theme of your choice, we will create drawings and collage, before developing 2 dynamic collograph plates and print a lively range of outcomes.
