Block Printing on Fabric

If you have ever considered designing and creating something to use in your home or thought about personalised gifts, Block Printing on Fabric is the workshop for you.
Bring along your ideas and learn how to translate them into a design and create your own stamps. We will initially work on paper and card, to create gift wrapping and gift tags, before printing on tea towels and tote bags. Bring along samples of cotton and linen, to experiment printing onto.

Thursday 9th September, 10 – 4pm, with just 3 places (to allow for social distancing), £75, including: tuition, materials, use of equipment, plus refreshments throughout the day; just bring your lunch.

Blind Embossing – Lino printing without inks

Blind embossing is an interesting creative technique. It uses the skills and materials associated with lino cutting, but without any of the mess generated when inking up a lino block. A lino block, plus dampened paper is rolled through a press, with lots of pressure applied. The outcome is subtle, but very satisfying, with the raised lines, shapes and patterns created when the areas of lino are cut away.

Saturday 18th September, 10 – 4pm, with just 3 places (to allow for social distancing), £69, including: tuition, materials, use of equipment, plus refreshments throughout the day; just bring your lunch.
